Student Participation Agreement
Croswell-Lexington Pioneer Innovators Robotic Club provides an extracurricular opportunity for students who would like to learn and gain skills in STEM. Students will learn to design, construct, program and operate advanced mechanisms through computer programming, engineering, mathematics, science, and technology. They will learn through teamwork, lab projects, and a hands-on curriculum approach.
Any student at Croswell-Lexington Community Schools who is enrolled in eighth through twelfth grade can participate. All potential participants must demonstrate good citizenship, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, and work ethics.

A. Participation Rules:
- All school rules apply when participating
- Follow directions and/or safety procedures.
- Do not use inappropriate language and/or gestures.
- Demonstrate respectful behavior at all times.
- Follow the school dress code.
- No fighting or provoking a fight.
- No verbal or physical attacks.
B. Expectations:
- Be respectful.
- Demonstrate good participation and sportsmanship.
- Demonstrate good safety practices.
- Be able to work and communicate with others.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
C. Disciplinary Procedure:
Any student who violates the above expectations will follow this disciplinary procedure:
- Stage 1 – Verbal Warning/parent contact
- Stage 2 – Parents contacted and forfeit one scheduled practice meeting.
- Stage 3 - Parents contacted and forfeit at least five scheduled practice meetings.
- Stage 4 - Parents contacted and forfeit all practices and competitions for the remaining of the competition season.
D. Practices:
- Students will be expected to attend the majority of the scheduled practices and communicate to the coach when he/she will be late or absent.
- Students shall always follow directions and instructions given by the coaches.
- Team must have a fully functional and programmed robot assembled two weeks prior to the scheduled competition.
- Parents and/or guardians are responsible for transporting students to practices and competitions.
- Students will be asked to help with fundraising when needed.
E._Competitions:
- Act with integrity, honesty, and reliability.
- Behave in a respectful and professional manner with event staff, volunteers, and fellow competitors.
- Exhibit maturity and class when dealing with difficult and stressful situations.
- Respect individual differences.
- Understand and follow all rules as listed in the current game manual(s).
- Attend all team and event meetings.
- Maintain student-centered teams with limited adult assistance.
- Keep safety as a top priority.
- Practice good sportsmanship, which includes supporting your alliance partners.

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
- I have read and understand the Croswell-Lexington Pioneer Innovators Student Participation Agreement.
- I understand that in order to be considered an active member of this club, I must follow and fulfill all requirements listed in the agreement included but not limited to, the grade requirements and meeting attendance requirements.
- I will behave in a mature, responsible, and professional manner while participating with or representing this club.
- I understand that if there is a problem, I can bring it to the attention of the coach who will help me work it out.
- I agree and consent to allow my photographs and/or first name to appear in any media related to the club.
- I understand that violation of any of the policies above can result in punishment up to and including dismissal from the club.
